A New Multi-Layers Method to Analyze Gene Expression
نویسندگان
چکیده
In the paper a new Multi-Layers approach (called MultiLayers Model MLM) for the analysis of stochastic signals and its application to the analysis of gene expression data is presented. It consists in the generation of sub-samples from the input signal by applying a threshold technique based on cut-set optimal conditions. The MLM has been applied on synthetic and real microarray data for the identification of particular regions across DNA called nucleosomes and linkers. Nucleosomes are the fundamental repeating subunits of all eukaryotic chromatin, and their positioning provides useful information regarding the regulation of gene expression in eukaryotic cells. Results have shown a good recognition rate on synthetic data, moreover, the MLM shows a good agreement with a recently published method based on Hidden Markov Model when tested on the Saccharomyces cerevisiae chromosomes microarray data.

Thermal Behavior of a New Type of Multi-Layered Porous Air Heater
Based on an effective energy conversion method between gas enthalpy and thermal radiation, a multi-layered type of porous air heater has been proposed. In the five layered structure which is analyzed in this work, there are five porous layers which are separated by four quartz glass windows. The main layer operates as a porous radiant burner that products a large amount of thermal radiative ene...
متن کاملIntegration and Reduction of Microarray Gene Expressions Using an Information Theory Approach
The DNA microarray is an important technique that allows researchers to analyze many gene expression data in parallel. Although the data can be more significant if they come out of separate experiments, one of the most challenging phases in the microarray context is the integration of separate expression level datasets that have gathered through different techniques. In this paper, we prese...
متن کاملPresenting a new equation for estimation of daily coefficient of evaporation pan using Gene Expression Programming and comparing it with experimental methods (Case Study: Birjand Plain)
One of the most important componenets of water management in farms is estimating crops’ exact amount of evapotranspiration (water need). The FAO-Penman-Montheis (FPM) method is a standard method to evaluate other techniques which are used for easy calculation of potential evapotranspiration, when lysimeter datasheets are not available. This study was carried out based on 18 years’ climatic dat...
متن کاملComparison of Protamine 1 to Protamine 2 mRNA Ratio and YBX2 gene mRNA Content in Testicular Tissue of Fertile and Azoospermic Men
Background Although aberrant protamine (PRM) ratios have been observed in infertile men, the mechanisms that implicit the uncoupling of PRM1 and PRM2 expression remain unclear. To uncover these mechanisms, in this observational study we have compared the PRM1/PRM2 mRNA ratio and mRNA contents of two regulatory factors of these genes. MaterialsAndMethods In this experimental study, sampling was ...
